Free Business Valuation Calculator
Wondering what your business might be worth? Enter your annual profit, industry, and a few details about the business to receive an indicative valuation range based on current mid-market transaction multiples. This takes under two minutes and requires no registration.
Note: This calculator provides a rough indicative range only — not a formal opinion of value. For a defensible valuation prepared by a Chartered Business Valuator, speak with our team.
What This Calculator Does and Doesn't Tell You
This calculator uses EBITDA multiple methodology — the most common approach for valuing owner-managed and mid-market businesses in Canada and the United States. It applies industry-specific multiple ranges adjusted for a few key factors that buyers consistently focus on: growth profile, owner dependency, and business stability.
What it gives you is a starting point — a rough sense of where your business might trade in today's market. What it doesn't capture is the full picture. Actual business values depend on dozens of additional factors including customer concentration, contract terms, management depth, working capital requirements, capital expenditure needs, and the specific buyers you approach.
The difference between an indicative range and a defensible opinion of value prepared by a Chartered Business Valuator can be significant — particularly when you are negotiating a sale, responding to an unsolicited offer, or planning a succession.
